History

I have been programming web sites since 2005 and eventually started Sweet Thursday Web Development in early 2006. My business has grown steadily since then.

I have programmed and/or worked on well over 100 web sites for dozens of clients. I have worked directly with web site owners and also with marketing companies, design firms, web developers and web designers on their clients' projects doing PHP programming, XHTML/CSS design implementation from design comps, updates, program installation and troubleshooting.

What's in a Name?

My company is named after my favorite John Steinbeck novel, Sweet Thursday.

Glen Draeger, Owner

I remember playing around with one of the first Apple computers that came out in the early 80s. My first computer was a Mac Plus I purchased in 1987. In 1997 I started dabbling on the internet and haven't stopped. When the opportunity presented itself (I was laid off from my job in 2003) I decided to go back to college to learn web development.

Our household has a Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, MacBook, iMac, Dell laptop, iPad, iPod and Android phone. Love the iPad! It's the fun device.

I use Adobe products: predominantly Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks and sometimes Flash. I prefer to hand-code websites.

I am a former high school teacher and a published writer. I live with my wife and son in La Mesa, California.
